Depends what you see as normal. If innanimate objects are your thing then I suppose it is normal to you. Human sexuality is such a wide and varied but most of all personal thing that it's hard to say what is normal just what is unacceptable. No one is getting hurt ( except you if you get stuck!) so I can't see a problem unless it is interfering with your relationships with partners.
