The easiest way is to go to "Start" "Control Panel" "Add/Remove Programs" and select the programs you want deleted and click on the button to delete them.

Another way is to right-click on your "Start" button. Click "Explore." Navigate to your hard drive (usually 'C' drive), click on it to open it, navigate to the file you want to delete, right-click on the file and click "delete." Then once you are all done, go back to the desktop, right-click on Recycle Bin and click "Empty."

I wouldn't suggest deleting any files that you don't absolutely know what they are for. You could accidentally delete a system file that your computer needs to run.

Erasing a file can have two different meanings. If you right click on the item and select "Delete", it will send it to the recycle bin. When you empty the recycle bin, you will not be able to access the file anymore. However, it isn't really erased. With the proper software, somebody could easily recover that file - not good if you are deleting sensitive material.

To totally erase a file, you need 3rd party software (software made by somebody other than Microsoft or the maker of your computer's operating system). I recommend Simple File Shredder 3.0 or CCleaner. I myself use CCleaner, and have been very satisfied with the results. Each will erase whatever files you wish to erase. They both have 3 levels of erasure - basic, which is fine for normal files, a level 2, which is more complete, and an NSA-approved level, which writes over and erases each file seven times. The links for each are found below. Good luck!

Well, do you want to just delete a few files? If you want to do that just click the files and click delete and then empty your recycle bin and they're gone. If you want to formatt it, (which means earse everything) pop in the operating system cd or dvd-rom and it will automaticlly boot from the disk... then you can select the partion that you want removed and hit the appropriate key to formatt it... it's easy step by step stuf... I'm sure you could figure it out

Assuming you are on a PC... all you do is right click the file and choose "Delete". You can also drag the files into the trash icon. Both of these will put it in your trash. Then right click on the trash and choose "Empty". This will essentially delete them. Good luck.
