The most Underrated player in the league most definitely is Anderson Varejao of the Cleveland Cavaliers. Last night against the Raptors the had 16 points and 15 rebounds, and that is with Chris Bosh guarding him. The most overrated player in the league I will say is Ben Wallace of the Bulls. Sure he can play a little defense but a center in this league has to be able to put up some points especially with how tall he is. 6 points a game come on.

I disagree with buddy at the bottom. How Joe Johnson is underrated but made the All Star team. Hes with the Hawks who barely get recognition but if he was with another team, he would be talked more about.
Underrated player is Deron Williams who played liked an All Star. He is averaging 17.4 points with 9.2 assists(2nd in the league). He plays like Kidd, got three point range like him but has overall better shot than kidd. Just like Steve Nash, he can hurt you by scoring or passing.
Overrated player I would say Shaq. How he made the All Star team. One reason there isnt any Centers in the league beside Ming. Shaq is old and injury prone. He didnt much points and averaging around 13.6 and 6.6. for Shaq thats horrible. His prime is done once he left Lakers, he wasnt as dominant and aggressive. he is 10% reason why heat won the finals. He was just a decoy because Dallas thought the Heat would pound to him all day.75% was wades reasons and decision to shot, pass, and draw fouls.why heat won. Shaq is overrated after he left Lakers. His stats drop, his health and his age is a bigg issue. Since Wade is hurt he can probably pound it and score like his young days but wont do it as effictive.

underrated: kevin martin. He can't be stopped when he shoots because of how high he jumps on his jumpshot. The reason he makes them with such frequency is because he just lifts over everyone's head. Easily a career 20ppg scorer from here on out.
most overrated? Lebron james.
Everyone talks about him elevating the play of his teammates, but look at the stats of his teammates, they get progressively worse over the year. For a 30ppg scorer he averages less than 70% FT?
come on now. He's overrated cause he's not a SUPER SUPER SUPER JORDAN HEIR that people want him to be. But he's good still =P

obviously shaq is the most over rated player because he is already old but people still think he's good. he doesn't even score an average of 20 points a game.

hate to say it but duane wade is overrated. he got lucky last season since the mavericks pulled a "duh duh duh". also shaq (dwight howard most dominant center in the game) and robert horry (during the regular season builds a house with all his bricks)
underrated players are luke ridnour, richard jefferson (injured though), derron williams, uhh and many more I can't think of

i have to agree with joe johnson, problem is he plays for a horrible franchise...i think kobe is most overrated, he scores because he shoots a ton, plus he is egomaniacal in my opinion, taking shots at other players(who ironically are better than him), etc.
