My girlfriend is on welfare. I help her support her son, from a different man, by buying his diapers, and clothes utilities etc. Her mom claims her on her taxes. I was going to claim her son since i provide most of his support. If i claim him, will they make me pay back the welfare even if he isnt my child by blood?

Since he is not your child you cannot claim him because he is the qualifying child of your girlfriend. Sorry.

R Worth is correct on this one, assuming that your girlfriend and her child live with you. The only way you could claim him is if he lived with you ALL YEAR, and she didn't live with him for at least half of the year, which seems very unlikely to be the case.

You can't claim him- he's not your son, and you are not married. plus, her mom claims her on her taxes still.
AND.....what does your girlfriend do with her welfare money if you are paying for all the babies things?
