I am a lvl 17 Tauren Druid, I know Feral talent line is popular but is it the best overall? I have only spent 2 talent points and they are in the Feral spec. but I seem to spend most of my time casting. Will this continue to be the case? If so should I spec in another line of talents?

One thing you have to consider is a druid is an end-game healer (if they want to be invited on any raids that is). So investing all your Tps in Feral and gathering all feral gear is going to make you a very lonely druid when you hit 60 and you'll still be outdamaged by rogues with any kind of decent gear.

That or you're going to become very familar with investing in getting your points refunded before and after raids in order to switch between a pvp/e and raid build.

I'd suggest if you want to do damage like a rogue that you actually become a rogue :) No offense, but the ability to vanish and stunlock is going to starting being very attractive when you start pvping as a druid and your only option is attacking as a bear and spamming renew.

Otherwise I'd go mid-healing TP build and get ready to start nabbing those +healing drops.

A better place to check for good druid builds would be the WOW forums under druid classes :)

Once you get the cat form, you will spend a lot of time in that form. While all trees are usable, feral is prefered when leveling up. It does not remove much healing and spell casting damage compared to the overall power gained. A good feral druid can tank like a warrior, deal damage like a rogue, and when needed, he can heal like a restoration shaman and deal spell damage like an elemental shaman. Stealth is also a great ability when it comes to soloing quests and the cat form provides this extra flexibility.

You can't really go wrong as feral, all the talents are good and most of which are more powerful version of thalents available to other classes.

Feral or Balance seem to be the best talent trees to use when leveling/grinding, as you are usually for the most part alone when doing so. You can easily put points into those that you want until you get to 60-70 then re-specc. But the above answer is true, end-game druids are very often just healers.
