Have you been playing long? If you haven't been playing long I would think that after you're more comfortable with the guitar and the songs you're playing you will be able to sing with it. If you have been playing for a while, I'm not sure what to tell you.

Try playing bass and doing it, now that's hard! lol! anyway it's like this in my opinion. It's like learning to play the drums, it takes time to get your hands and voice to work together. Practice is the key, it may take some time, but you can do it if you commit.

That's easy.. try playing a 6-string bass and singing..
Practice is all it takes.. If you can play the chords.... the singing will follow..

You probably have to concentrate to much on chord changes and it breaks your rythm.
Try just strumming the chord once and singing it. Don't bother with trying to strum a rythm, just 'flash' the chord's voice and sing along. Once you can change chords in time with your singing, then try it strumming a rythm.
Just practice and have fun. You will soon get it.
