my baby was born 1-27
I nurse her exclusively so I also can't diet
as of today I have lost 25 lbs (I have ten more till I reach my prepregnancy weight of 95lbs)
I will be able to start exercising next week but haven't started yet

the best thing you can do is make sure you are eating well, you can't cut calories too low but you can eat healthy. Because you gained excess weight during your pregnancy it ill take more work to get back to your prepregnancy weight, nursing will help, and once the doctor says you can exercise will help too.
you should be able to get back to your prepregnancy weight in less than 4 months if you are eating well, if you need help with dietary recommendations feel free to email me.

Oh that is right where you should be. I was going to say 15 lbs, at most. Remember your breast have grown and are holding milk, about 3/4 lbs right there. Breast feeding will help you get back on track, it takes time. At about 6 weeks you will see more of a change. Really most women don't see there regular weight again until baby reaches about 1 year. I have had 3 kids and they all took me about a year to get back to my starting weight of 160/165. You will do it, just give yourself time.

I gained 36lbs all together. I was 16lbs lighter when I got home from the hospital. I had lost all but 7lbs by the time my daughter was 3 months. I did this by wqalking everyday with ym daughter in her stroller, and eating small, healthy meals at breakfast and lunch, and then I ate whatever I wanted for dinner. The last few pounds came off within 2 weeks of when I weaned my daughter at 12 months. I guess my body was holding on to a few pounds as a fat reserve.

It took 9 months to make that baby- I hope you seriously aren't assuming you should have lost it by now.

When your baby learns to crawl and walk, you won't be sitting still for long enough to worry about your weight. I know that seems like a long way off, but it will go by so quickly!

Join the club. =)

Just wait - it took 9 mos to put that on! I gained about 60 pounds and I have just 10 to go to make it back to my prepregnancy weight. When I started the pregnancy, I was at 190. So just give yourself time. If you can, excercise - crunches will get your tummy back in shape. Breastfeeding will help, too. Or so they say. I wasn't able to for very long (supply tanked). Good luck and hang in there!

Sweetheart, it takes a while and since you are breast feeding it will take a little longer because the milk weighs a certain amount, also it's up to what you want to lose after around you and the bay's (6-8)week check up! Don't go too fast you can hurt yourself as well trying to put you mucles back in order don't forget the mucles were stretched for 9 months, take your time!!CONGRATULATIONS, I'm a grandmother of(2) know what I'm tallking about>>HAVE FUN!! you sure waited a long time and it's going to take a long time 39 yrs???IF THIS IS THE FIRST!!WOW>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Well you have almost lost half! Great job! It will probably take about 3-4 months. Make sure you eat right and drink lots of water.
