everyone will have an opinion about this one. I have Sprint and my wife has Verizon. As for coverage, Verizon is better. Can't say much towards the plans, I think they're all going to be pretty similar.

Not knowing where you live will affect the answer. Not everyone has coverage all over. Cingular, Verizon, and Sprint/Nextel all start at $39.99 for 450 daytime minutes, unlimited night & weekends, and free mobile-to-mobile. Sprint's advantage is 7pm nights versus 9pm on the others as well as $10 per month for unlimited text to anyone, not just Sprint customers. Best prices on phones will be online - wirefly.com or letstalk.com.

T-mobile's plans are the cheapest, and they provide you with great coverage, and awesome customer service. Try them out.
