You can send text messages online through the phone company that you want to send the message that the person has. For example, say your friend has Cingular. You would go to cingular.com and then search send a text message in the search area. Then you can type your message and enter the receipents phone number. It will then send it to them. (You can do this on other cell phone providers as well.) You can also send messages through AIM. You would have to be signed on and then your friend would also through their phone.

Yep, you can definatly txt message from the internet, but only if your signed online (aim i know has it) and the person you want to text message,is signed up to have IMs transfered to their phones. You'll know one of your friends who has this if your online, because next to their name on your buddy list, there is a little picture of a phone, to the left of their screen name. Click on them, like you would to IM them, and just type your message, and it will be sent directly to their phone!

Hope i helped!

You can do it through your Yahoo messenger or your IM. If you have the cell number for who you like to send a text just place it on the search bar on Yahoo IM.
