my firewall threw up a question from yahoowith the name like"y.e old module exe"
i havent seen this before so i blocked it,the yahoo logo was in the box so should i allow it,it hasent had any effect on my browser or the internet
does anyone know what this program is?

if you don't know what it is, always deny it. it doesn't matter if it has the yahoo icon or not. some spyware or viruses can copy cat stuff. for example, there are e-mails out there with ebays logos trying to get your credit card info. if you deny something, and then something stops working, you can always go back and allow it. good luck!

If its blocked and everything is still working properly, don't worry. It is always best to block everything you don't recognise, if you find out later that you need it to run a program you can always unblock.
