Include in your resume "Please do not contact" current employer. Your former employers may be contacted to insure that you worked there and are supposed to provide only minimum info. Sometimes your previous employer is listed on your credit report, which employers may also want to view prior to offering you employment. If you don't want to have your current employer know that you are job hunting, be sure that you don't upload your CV by using your computer at work.

For instance if you're applying for an accounting position, employers want to know that you don't have a cash flow problem.
