If we took our most athletic NFL players (Vick, Tomlinson etc..) and put together a Rugby team, let them practice for a year or so, how well do you think they would do vs. the best Rugby teams in the World? (Australia, England, New Zealand etc...)

I'm not considering time lost in the NFL, that is irrelevant for this question...

Rugby players, because its what they have a passion for.
Rugby players would get killed at hockey or La Crosse.
NBA players would get killed as soccer, even though it is a similar game.

I think the world rugby players would kill them. Not only are they tougher from playing with no pads and getting stepped on and their balls twisted around 3 times during every scrum, but the American players can't be good enough after only a year of training versus a lifetime of training for the world players. It's kind of an apples and oranges type question, actually.
