Do not mix this guy with aggressive fish such as the Tiger barb fish or they will become lunchmeat! African dwarf frogs should only be in tanks with peaceful community fish, such as a single Beta Fish, Coolie Loaches or Coolie Fish, Goldfish, Tetras, and even Bala Sharks.
Most important though, if you start mixing the communities, is to watch for overcrowding. It is the number one cause for fish diseases, because it messes up the pH levels of the tank, and will eventually impact the health of your frog as well.

What size is the tank? Is it filtered and cycled? Do you test the water? Its probably water quality that killed the frog. You cannot keep all those species together. Neon tetras need very warm, soft, acidic water. Danios, platies, and guppies would do better with hard water. The frog can be housed with the last three but keep an eye out for nippy fish.

To be honest, you answered your own question. You can put almost any community fish with the frog including the ones you mentioned above. Just be cautious with the bottom feeders. They can be carriers of disease and bacteria and might hurt your frog. And to be on the safe side make sure the fish you choose mouths aren't the size of the frog. Otherwise, you can probably guess what they might have for dinner. Good luck.

From allaboutfrogs.org "The types of fish I've had living with African Dwarf frogs have been: neon tetras, 1 beta fish (Chinese fighting fish) which has been known to try to fight with the frogs on occasion (and lose pathetically, with a frenzied beta swimming around the tank and 1 determined froggy attached by the mouth to its' long beautiful tail.) Bala Sharks, Coolie Loaches, Clown Loaches, and Goldfish."

Yes, any community non aggressive fish can live with them.
Are you feeding your african dwarf frog bloodworms? and are enough getting to the bottom for him?
Also watch that he isn't overeating. Like goldfish, an african dwarf frog will eat until it explodes

Yep, definitely. Most small, community fish are fine with ADFs, provided that they are not big enough to eat the frog and are not aggressive enough to pick at them, so the fish you listed are fine tankmates for an ADF.
Just know that ADFs are very sensitive to water quality. I don't know how big your tank is, but if it is too small for the amount of fish you have, the ADFs will be the first let you know.
Oh and FYI, all platies are the same :) Different types just have different colours / finnage.
