Pantry. Mainly because fridges normally make the bread taste like the fridge not the bread; it takes all of it's natural, yummy flavor away and dries it out! & u don't want that?! Although it does indeed last a while longer.... But it's up 2 u and ur bf.

It will keep longer in the fridge. It depends on the temperature and the height of the shelf you put it on in the pantry as to how well it will keep.

My grandmother always told me you never keep bread any higher than the kitchen sink (like on the cabinet). She said anywhere higher gets too warm and will ruin the bread.

Always worked for me. With all the kids gone we eat very little bread now so I keep it in the fridge where it last for almost forever.

The fridge...spoils faster in the pantry. Keep it in the fridge, the bread will last weeks longer.

Even though I have a pantry, I put mine on top of the fridge.

Never heard of people putting bread in fridge but I know some people put bread in the freezer which is ok and keeps bread from going off too quick when you buy 2 or more loafs.

Putting it in the fridge helps keep it fresher, longer. However, keeping it in the pantry is fine, too. It just won't last as long.

Personally, I keep mine in the pantry because I don't like cold or soggy bread.

PANTRY!

The fridge is going to dry it up. If you want to save it, freeze it and use a little at a time.

Do you see bagel places and bakeries (panera) putting their bread in the fridge? It's up to you I guess, but it would last a lot longer in a dry place instead of a place that's going to leave it to harden.
