I once heard someone described as not having any domestic skills and always wondered what they would be?

I mean things like cooking, cleaning, etc. Are there more that might relate to parenting and being a spouse?

Domestic skills are generally the ability to keep a home livable and maintain order. A few examples:

1. Cooking
2. Cleaning
3. Maintaining Supplies (shopping for items needed for #1 and #2)
4. Entertaining

This isn't a complete list, but you get the idea....

Domestic skills are skills of the "domicile" (i.e. home).

You could call general home maintenance skills domestic, such as fixing plumbing, patching holes in the wall, or electrical wiring.

Generally it refers to traditional female roles of cooking, laundry, and general cleaning, and child rearing.
