please help explain this to me???

You know how you are in class and understand a question and then get home and don't have a clue. That is what I am experiencing right now... I am in a college counseling course where we are studying different theories and these are the questions that i have to write a paper on.... can you simplify these for me? Thanks!!!



What relationship do you see between your own personality/style/voice and the basic tenets of the theories we've covered so far? Elaborate on those theories with which you resonate. Why do you think this is so? How do you see yourself using these theories in practice? How do you see yourself using these theories for self-understanding?

Well here is my best guess on this one.

First of all go back thru your material that you have covered to date in class, in your reading and in your tutorials. Make a list of the theories and basic phihlosophies that they cover.

Now review each one in your list and jot down how you think your own personality , your own style in life, and the way in which you would speak about these issues has some relationship to the theories and philosophies you listed (ie. do you agree with them or not, why or why not?)

Why do you think you feel the way your do? Something to do with your family upbringing? your religion? your education?

How do you think that you will/will not use these theories when you actually get into the real world (practice) of career counselling.

Now that you have examined these theories in the detail noted above, do you think it has helped you understand yourelf a little better?
