You could try wireless but an attic will usually have a lot of interference, so I don't recommend it. No matter if you use DSL or cable, all you need to do is run a cable of the right type down to your access point. It will only usually be installed at ground level.

Need more info. What kind of internet hook up do you have? Are there other computers or is yours the only one? Can you go wireless to hook up? Can you splice a line in and run it up to the attic?

buy a wireless router and hook it up to send a wireless signal. they usually cost $50-$70. then get a wireless adapter and plug it into its usb port. configure it totake in the signal through the control panel and you can browse the internet on it.

..you ARE on the internet..

you should get a wireless router, such as WiFi.

Also, you could run a cable throught the walls, etc., to connect your computer to the router.
