I'm just wondering. I'm about 35 weeks pregnant and for about the last week it is painful when the baby moves around. This is my 4th pregnancy and I don't remember experiencing this with any of the others. It's not severe pain, but it is very uncomfortable and does hurt. Anyone? Any ideas on how to make myself more comfortable?

Yup - happened to me. He just smashed his butt up into my ribs and pinched a nerve. Then he'd move around and it was quite painful - take the breath out of me painful. Now that he is born, I can see how active he is and now wonder how much moving around he was doing that I didn't even feel! When PG, I was in so much pain they did x-rays and ultrasounds on me to make sure I wasn't having something else going on. The ultrasounds should him abusing my ribs!

I had some pain when I was pregnant with my daughter, also starting when I was around 34 weeks. My doctor said it was normal to have discomfort, especially if the baby is larger than average. She recommended changing the position I was in or getting up and moving around whenever there was discomfort. For me, laying on my left side and walking around worked most of the time. I think this is normal, but it is a good idea to ask your doctor. Your doctor can check to make sure everything is normal with your pregnancy and give you advice on how to ease the pain.

Yes!!! Its from all of the stretching and moving around. To get more comfortable get an exercise ball one of the big ones you know and sit on that and stretch in the morning and afternoon and maybe before bed. Also if it hurts more on one side lay of the other side for about 10-20 minutes to get the baby to the other side.

I got a pregnancy/mommy massage and it helped a lot but there are a little pricey

Yes, when I was pregnant with MY fourth, when she moved about at the later stages it really did hurt. I thought it was just me being weird. You never hear about the pain they can cause, only the 'lovely little kicks and wiggles, HA!'
I can't suggest anything to help really as I had no way of making it better for myself, only grin and bear it, that's what I had to do unfortunately.
Warm baths help a bit...relaxing the muscles that tighten up against the pain ??
Sorry babes, not long now though eh!!?

rub the belly and breath. The baby is in a position that is uncomfortable to you. I t will be over soon enough. Just think when you haave the baby. You will forget all the pain you been through. This is your 4th and you can't even remember how it felt. GOOD LUCK.

I'm about 30 weeks and my little one occasionally kicks hard enough to cause some pain. Most of the time it doesn't hurt, but out of nowhere she'll kick really hard and it takes my breath away. I don't know how to make it stop, other than try to move around and rock her to sleep or convince her to move somewhere else.

Good luck -your little one will be here soon!

Yeah that happens to me and I am 32 weeks it made me ask my doctor if he was head down yet and she checked he is head down. I use to take my children for walks every night for about 30 mins now because I have to use the bathroom so often and I cannot hold it because it hurts I actually have to stop walking and let the pain subside than continue walking but I can only go for about 15 minutes now

I am 34 weeks and it is somewhat painful when he moves. It is b/c he is bigger and has less room to move so it moves your skin more. Nothing really you can do about it. Just bare with in and remember it will be over soon. Good luck

I think it is quite normal during the 35th weeks. I had experienced same with my daughter. Try rubbing your belly in different spots just hard enough so the baby can feel it... it might work.

Yup! Sometimes it brings tears to my eyes. I just keep counting down the days. I am 32 weeks 4d. There is nothing that can be done to make him stop. I just think to myself that movement=a good thing, even though it hurts!
