I assume you are in the UK, in which case, there is a City & Guilds course called Delivering Learning to Adults. The 7302 is the first course and is 16 weeks long, one evening a week. They do them at most Adult Community Colleges. With this qualification you can teach any subject in which you are professionally qualified.

Write to your local colleges with your CV and experience, stating that you would like to teach and would be keen to do the 7302. They may employ you on that basis and fund your training. Otherwise, do the course first and then send your CV to local colleges. They don't usually advertise posts, as this is how vacancies are filled (in my experience).

Good luck!

All previous answers are correct. Your best chance is with a Further Education College. Many newcomers tend to think of teaching as giving information to students but it isn't. It's about giving them opprtunities to learn and that is very different.

That's why the 730 and 740 courses mentioned above are very useful. They cover learning styles, learning activities, classroom layout and class management, assessing how much students have learned or failed to learn as well as points of law relating to teaching. Further Education colleges offer these courses and most are available either evenings or for a couple of hours during the daytime so you could fit it around your salon job. A college may also help you find part-time teaching opportunities to gain some experience. If you get a part-time job with a college, they ought to give you the course for free, but don't expect everything at once.

To get a job, it will be useful if you can offer colleges other subjects as well. If you can do hairdressing, aromatherapy or even flower arranging as well as beauty, it will go a long way towards getting into the teaching profession.
Good luck with this project. We need people to teach vocational skills who are enthusiastic about their subjects.
