they pick some inane phrase like "and what?" or "he the daddy!" and just repeat it over and over, usually loudly, no matter what anyone else says. i don't think i've ever seen a white person do this, though i'm sure there are some who have. so what's the deal with that? do they think that repetition makes what they're saying less stupid?

i am not making anything a "black" thing. i am merely asking about something i see a lot of black folks doing on t.v. and never did i say i didn't like black folks. why is it assumed that asking a question about people of a certain race means that the asker must not like that race? how are we supposed to understand what people different from us are doing if we don't ask? sorry if i can't relate to people who shout repetitively. i thought maybe there was something to it besides ignorance, but i guess not.

Because the black people on the show are- most often- extremely ignorant and uneducated- which means they know very few ways to express themselves except through loud, incessent yelling and the most basic of words. You don't see white people do this as often because 1) Low rent white people are not displayed on these shows nearly as often- unless they're screwing one of ther family members and 2) By nature, the majority of white people are less emotional than blacks. And most often, this is where the repetition of words stems from in blacks- emotion and frustration combined with a lack of word choice.

P.S. - Why do white people seem to be the only ones who sleep with their family members?

(And just for the record... I'm black)

All of the low rent people of EVERY color and culture on all of those talk shows act exactly the same. If you don't like black people, then keep it to yourself. The fact that you actually watch these shows says quite a bit for your character and circumstances. Get a clue.

"And what?" "You the mommy!" "No wut I'm sayin?" "Yeah, it be like dis homie!" Actually I have a suggestion for you. Why don't you pay the so-called "Low rent black people" a visit in the "hood" and inquire as to why they talk the way they do? Maybe they could enlighten or educate you on their use of the English language? Oh and while you're getting an education in "Ebonics" you might want to get a life as well. :)

People who are loud and repetitive have no self esteem and know they can't get their point across unless they are loud. They also do it to intimidate, even though it doesn't work.

Those kind of talk shows deliberately pick uneducated persons of any color or nationality. They are stupid shows. Not only on talk shows but I get sick of hearing "you know what I'm saying".

Because it is obviously entertaining to people like yourself. Change the channel if something on it offends you.

Are you serious!?! No seriously, you didn't just ask this, did you? I've seen exactly the same thing you're referring to on Jerry Springer on more occasions that I can recall.

Stop trying to make everything that's negative a black thing, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1 - they get paid to be there and its what the audience wants to hear.
2 - you are obviously a very avid listener yourself, so why are you complaining? it you don't like it, change the channel.
3 - if you're concerned about the level of stupidity here, remember stupidity is a two way street and you're participating.
