You ask him to please put it out, he looks at you then blows a big cloud of smoke in your face. What would you do? This is a old old man that did it so I could not punch him in the face.

the guy is probably old-fashioned. he is probably angry that he is not allowed to smoke inside anymore. i would tell whoever is in charge of the place. maybe try to explain to the guy that times have changed, and that it is a known fact that second-hand smoke kills more than actually smoking the cigarette itself.

It is probably best just to tell the manager instead of trying to handle it yourself. You obviously are not a big guy if an old man blew smoke in your face.

I would get the manager and demand that they kick him out, it doesn't matter that he was rude to you and everyone around you, he has no right to be smoking in there and if he doesn't leave by request from the manager then they can call the cops and teach him a lesson.

If its a restaurant I would ask to be moved or ask they make him put it out. If this is a bar..even if it is NON smoking... simply move away. As you said he was old..he is set in his ways..doesn't make it right but you can be the bigger man and move your position it isn't worth the hassle.

I would surely tell him without hesitations to go out and smoking outside cuz it says 'a non smoking area'.

Don't deal with him directly, but go to the manager and have the establishment consult with him. If that doesn't work, then punch him out.

Take a glass of water tell him your to hot you need to cool down and through water at his face to put out the cigarette or cigar or just
rip the cigarette out of his mouth and step on it

Calmly grab the nearest fire extinguisher and spray him in the face..there, the smoke is out now.

I'd grab his ciggar out of his mouth and fling It into the garbage and say. "I dont give a danm If you smoke but dont ever pull that crap ever again." and look him staight in the eye and then walk away minding my own business.

Not worth the aggravation. Just move as far away possible. If not, report him to someone who's in authority.
