A few months ago I had the worst day ever. everything went wrong, some random people were really rude to me, I was a bit ill and tired and it all got too much. I went to bed and though I wasn't sobbing my eyes were crying from my totally crap day. My lovely husband hugged me and kissed my head and stroked my hair and neck until I fell asleep. He didn't even really say anything. Well, he did threaten to kill the guy who shouted at me at work but that's men being macho for you!

I don't need soothing to sleep...I work hard and sleep like the dead. But if I could I'd like to hear my Mom sing, "Rise and shine".

Yes my mom, sadly she is no longer here and sometimes I really need her to sooth me to sleep.
