BEEN THERE---SOOOOO DONE THAT!! :)
You know what I did? Be thankful that SIM card still works, go on e-bay or some second-hand place or anywhere you can think of that you can get a nice or similar phone from your cell carrier and no matter what, as long as it's equal to less quality than your last (for example>you don't go from switching your BLACKBERRY sim card into some cheapo plastic phone from 1985) then you're good to go and everything will be fine. Keep in mind any ring tones, or if you had an MP3, pics, wallpapers, etc.. all lost when switching SIM to a new phone unless you notify your carrier in which at that point they may require you purchase a new phone through them to do the switch and get everything back.

First off: i am so sorry about your phone!!
Second: i was at a sleepover and we were all messing around and my all-but-graceful friend dropped her phone in the toilet!! she just took it out and let it air dry. it didn't work at first but within a week she could turn it on and it would operate normally. if you are on a contract i suggest you take your phone into a wireless phone store(especially the company you have) and tell them what happened. if you have a feeling that you are not to careful or that you are just unlucky, some carriers offer insurance. i have it through sprint and we pay a monthly fee. I'm not too sure on the price but its cheaper than replacing your phone!! also it may just be the battery. i dropped my phone in the pool and my phone is okay its just the battery. overall, i think your best bet is to take it into a store and have them look at it then buy insurance!!! i hope i helped!!
love,

Mine just got dropped in the toilet 2 1/2 months ago.......it stopped working, of course. So I quickly removed the battery and sim card, placed it on top of my heating duct for about 3 days and when I set it back up, it began working again. It was a little glitchy at first, but now it works fine.
Don't waste your money yet...........

No, take the battery out and leave it in the airing cupboard or on a radiator for a week. If it still does not work the damage is permanently set in and you will need a new phone.

take your phone apart (not totally, just take the back off, sim card and battery out and front cover if it comes off) and leave them all in a towel in the airing cubord for about 10 days and it should work!

Just stick your phone in the airing cupboard overnight... I've known people that have done this and their phone has started working again...

If it's a sim free handset you buy it will work, otherwise try and get one for same network.
