if you have a lot of start up item you need to remove them. go to run msconfig, startup and uncheck unnecessary things. What are your computer specs?

click start and then run. type msconfig in the text box. hit ok. click on the startup tab. you will see a bunch of programs with checkboxes. uncheck the majority of them. keep any important looking system files checked. this should help. also make sure you computer is cleaned up. deleted history, cookies, temp internet files, etc. make sure you have enough space on your hard drive as well. good luck!

well for starters try using scandisk or disk fragmenter to scan the windows HD and select: Automatically fix errors and it will fix the problem for you.

Disk Fragmenter:

this feature will check your HD for errors depenig on what type of proceesor you pc has.. For Example my epiq pc has 850 mhz of [proceesing power.

Download a program called System Mechanics...it can do a lot for your computer. It isn't free...but you can get a 30 free trial... www.iolo.com I think

i think you should scan your computer from all spywares because they really slow down the computer on start up
try windows defender
