why do geeks tape the glasses when broken?

lol so everyone who wears glasses are geeks now? if you're half blind, you'll use tic tac if you have to, to keepem together until you can somewhere to have them fixed. you've led a very sheltered and blinkered life yourself, haven't you? lol

Actually glasses are expensive, I am not sure if I would call these people geeks, tho I hope that I would not have to tape my glasses if they ever were to break, I think they just tape them until they can afford new ones. Lets give them a break here.. what ya say?

Anybody, who has only one pair of glasses, and which are broken in a way in which tape will likely fix them, and if they need them badly enough, is likely to fix them with tape until such time as they can be repaired or replaced. It is not limited to geeks.

Have you ever had to buy glasses without insurance, i did for a eye exam and glasses cost me 425.00 and that was at Wallmart so that might be the reason they tape their broken glasses.
