According to the NFLPA website Shawne Merriman of the Chargers made $350,000 in 2006. Pretty low for a Pro Bowl linebacker who's considered one of the best right now.

Marques Colston and Antoine Bethea both made $275,000. Colston because he was a 7th round pick, and even though Bethea was 6th round, safeties are less valuable than receivers which might explain why he made the same as a receiver picked in a later round. They are probably pretty secure picks for the least paid starters, i will have to agree.

I would have to Guess Colston the reciever for the Saints. He was a 7th round pick so I am assuming he makes nothing. That will change though. If not him it could be Antoine Bethea of the Colts. He was a sixth round pick. Both rookies and very late rounders is why I said them
