I took out my belly button ring (well barbell) and the hole that it went through has taken on the over-pigmented look similar to the line that runs verticle down my tummy. I say similar because the line I have is faint, but where I was pierced, is very dark.
Will this go away?
Anyone have this similar problem or concern?

It isn't closing so I guess I could slip another in t semi-cover it. The thing is that I took it out before I got pregnant because I AM SO OVER IT and now I have to put ome back in just to cover it up. YUk

Had it happen, now its fine. I still have the hole from my belly button ring and I think it looks gross. Everyone else says it looks fine. I guess I should have thought of these things before getting it pierced. But hey, I was 19.

I have the exact same problem--I took out my ring at about 6 months pregnant--and it's real dark at the top and bottom where it was pierced. I had my daughter 6 weeks ago and it is STILL there!! It's so unattractive but I was told to try and apply vaseline on it a few times a day and it should fade. Good luck!!

I had the same thing. I never got the line but Its dark where my ring was. I took mine out at around 6 mon pregnant and now it looks really stretched out and ugly. I hope yours does'nt look like mine! I should have taken it out earlier. My baby is now 5 weeks old and my belly button still looks like crap. I hope it gets better!

I have the same problem. Mine is very dark. I asked my doctor about it and she said it's normal and the color will fade after birth, but the hole will always be there!! Guess I'll just get re-pierced!

My belly button piercing hole is dark too. I think it looks weird.
I hope it fades.
My hole actually closed up so no more button piercing for me.

the line that run down my belly was dark when i was pregnant, my son is now 5 months and the line is still there but it is very light now, its going but very slowly lol

mine is the same way...can't wait for the baby to be born to get it redone! the scar color will fade...never fear.
