I'm 54yrs young and wish for my younger days too. I was at Woodstock at the nice age of 16 yrs, best time of my life. I work for myself the past 30 yrs and it's not all about chasing that freak'n dollar. I cut my own wood to stay warm and do all my own up keep on my home and 3 acres. It's our government that's put us all in the mess we're in today. Our kids are in trouble today because both parents have got to work just to keep up with the bills. Got to stop it soon, it's not right you've got doctors, lawyers and now teachers making outrageous money and the poor bastard work'n in McDonald's making $5. There's to much of a span between the guy make'n $5 and the doctor make'n $5000, just think if everybody made somewhat the same $$$$$ after all it shouldn't be about the money but liking your job !!! The good lord put me here to enjoy the beautiful world he made for us not to compete with my fellow man on what material assets I own.

It is a possibility that even back then your parents felt like they were working 24/7 :)

We still have more free time than way-way-back when, but the leisure activities we choose tend to be more information-centric (web surfing anyone?) these days. Your free time can really mentally exhaust you.

Remember, though, you still control your destiny. If you say "Sunday afternoon naps are going to be my #1 priority", simply make it your #1 priority. (note: be aware fallout from significant other may not be worth the nap -- make sure you communicate your priorities in a sane sounding way).

And the 3 pennies for a bottle of coke -- we call that one inflation. I bet you never had the 3 pennies when you really needed them, even back in the good ole days :)

Here I Go to Save the Day! My old timer's has not erased all of my memories. I recall my Dad complaining about 19.9 cents a gallon for gas. I remember the first color TV on the block, and I remember Bakelite transistor radios. Have No Fear "You" Are Here!!!!!

seems as though the good ole' days are gone. now all we do is rush rush rush and push for a buck. we all need to take time to smell the roses and realize that there is more to life then technology. technology has changed the world and our way of life
