OK, I don't want another war or any more of our troop getting in harms way, but..

The headlines today read "Iran going forward with nuclear enrichment!" All the while chanting "Death to America and Isreal"

What is the Dems plan to deal with this issue? I have heard talking points dealing with the presidents authority and the dems wanting out of the middle east, but what do we do with IRAN?

It seem they want to bury our head in the sand, am I wrong?

We use diplomacy and economic pressure. It worked with North Korea, it can work with Iran. You don't negotiate with friends, you negotiate with your enemies. We talk to other middle east countries and use them to help us pressure Iran. As Churchill said, "Jaw, jaw, jaw is better than war, war, war."

I think and hope that the Dems are serious about diplomatic solutions. You would think that in the 21st century, we as humans would be capable of handling disagreements with something other than violence. Regarding Iran, I do not support any country having nuclear capabilities; it' sheer madness. But did you know that Israel already has nuclear weapons? And that many of the weapons of mass destruction were sold to known terrorist groups during the Reagan and senior Bush's presidency? Did pou also know that George w's grandfather has a very dark history of funding the Nazi party and plotting to overthrow FDR? (google McCormick / Dickstein committee or Prescott Bush for details). There is so much more regarding the middle east than we will ever see or hear about from any US news provider.

Like relations with Iraq and N. Korea, the problems with Iran are in large part reactive with the aggressive policies of the George W. Bush Administration. Our aggression has even strained the relations with many of our allies. Ask a Canadian, Australian, German, Russian, or other American ally what they think of George Bush and the Middle East. Many of our allies are even afraid for their own countries due to American beligerance.

That being said, the correct thing to do is to backtrack on the war trial. The world needs to once again feel that America is on the side of peace, not global war. We need to establish viable diplomacy with these and other countries like Cuba, Venezuela, Bolivia, etc. We need to be fair with all parties. Do you think it fair that we deny humanitarian aid to the Palestinians, but provide billions to Israel for ruining Palestine's economy? The problems with Iran go back to our support of Shah Pelavi prior to his deposition. We might have to boycott their oil and boycott those that buy their oil. Americans need to realize that war is the last recourse, not the first. It's the worst recourse, not the best.

Near as I can tell its simple- let the Iranians have the bomb, let them do as they will then ask them not to use it. Basically another cold war.

It means little to them that Iranian children watch cartoons glorifying myrterdom, and that the US (and UN) needs to be destroyed.

The Iranians do not realize that if the US is nuked we might just throw a couple that way of our own out of shear anger.

What the Dems want- us to get slapped up side the head. What the Rep want- war. Its a lose/lose time in the world, our best hope is that it doesn't come to nuclear exchange.

at the same time as the Democrat's place is probably to be much less rabid than the present administration, it is going to nonetheless be a continuation of an analogous rules that have been pursued for almost a century, and which resulted interior the 9/11 and different assaults. international kin hasn't been tried, and the alternative would not paintings. Giving it a shot is probably no longer a bad theory.

The democratic theory is to turn terrorism back into a Police matter as the way of our great leader Bill Clinton did in his ruling time. And along with that go and try and negotiate with Osama Bin Laden, Kim Jon Ill and Iran. Quite a deal don't you think?

The Democrats want the administration to embark on talks with Iran for the purpose of discussion and arbitration on several critical issues, Bush refuses to do so on the basis that " You do not talk with the enemy" .
So who is hiding their head in the sand?

Oh, the irony of understanding liberal philosophy. It seems the more you think, the harder it is to understand.

The secret is; don't think, then it all sounds good!
