I would have to say Kevin Garnett. The reason for that is Garnett is averaging about the same points a game. Garnett is leading the NBA in rebounds. Garnett is averaging more assists,steals,and blocks per game. Assists....!!!! Garnetts team is horrible.... and he is averaging more assists per game. Garnett Triple Double this year , he had 2 Dirk Nowitzki like none. Garnett also leading double-doubles this year. Nowitzki might be younger but Garnett is doing better statiscally. Anyday anywhere I would pick Garnett over Dirk. Garnett can shoot also but you dont see him shoot many 3's because Minnesota has guards that can shoot them. Dirk Nowitzki's only help from downtown is Jason Terry. So anytime I would pick Garnett over Dirk because he has more experience and statistaclly hes just better. Also Garnett is more loyal he would do anything for you if you asked him. If you told him he was going to be traded he would understand. Also Garnett is smart enough to get punched in the face and not fight back. That shows how much ambition you have to win.

Kevin Garnett is one of the best power forwards of all-time, while Dirk Nowitzki is a very unique player. Right now, Dirk is in his prime and Kevin is a little past his, but I would say they are still equal. That means that Kevin at his best is better than Dirk at his best. However, the game today favors the style of play that Dirk plays, not the post-up games of Kevin, Duncan, or Shaq (that's why the Spurs lost to the Mavs in the playoffs last year). So, while I like and believe Garnett is the better player, Dirk is more valuable in the quick paced style that most teams play. It also helps that the Mavs are a great team, as opposed to the T-Wolves.

W/O a doubt Garnett. Dirk might seem better because his team is very good, but make no mistake, Dirk is no Kevin Garnett.

i like kevin garnett a lot better, but dirk is a better player than garnett now, so I'd pick dirk

Nowitzki. For me, the difference is Dirk's playoff experience. No championship (yet), but he has had some clutch performances in some big games.
Garnett hasn't done jack in the playoffs.

No brainer. each thing Dirk can do KG can do extra appropriate. KG can hit a turn round at will. the in effortless words element that Dirk has on KG is 3 factor capturing, yet they're both 7 ft tall who needs that? KG for the win.
