The moment I actually saw our daughter, seconds after she was born. She wasn't crying, had a funny little smile on her face and, at 9 pounds (not fat just big), looked like she was already a month old. It was a natural, drug-free birth. She was so serene, she looked like a baby Buddha.
I felt like she, her Dad and I were bathed in a glow and a buzz in the delivery room. It was magic. Eighteen and a half years later I can recall it as if it happened yesterday.
