Start with an A-line, They are complimentary on all body types. They aren't clingy so they don't stick to more unflattering parts of out bodies. The best length is at the knee or just an inch or two below. Avoid skin tight skirts and mini skirts (people should anyways), also super clingy materials like satin (between the no-give and high sheen..ekk). Another great style is a trumpet skirt, fitted but still loose through the hips. Falls about knee length with a small ruffle at the bottom, that makes it a few inches lower, highlighting the calves.

(very flirty looking and perfect for late spring, early summer)

(the skirt not the whole suit, for the idea of a paneled or mermaid style skirt)

(the skirt on the left, very sassy and sexy perfect for the wrok place with a subdue button down and cardigan then vamped up for a night out with the gals witha sexy tee or cami)
Well I hope this helped!

Whatever you do, don't wear a too-short skirt because it will make you look silly and obscene as if you're trying to be something you are not. A long pencil type skirt can work as well if you wear a top that accentuates your upper body and covers your hip area. Try belting a nice (not too thick) sweater with it. Also, an A-line skirt is good as long as you choose a length that is appropriate (on the knees, or a little below) or mid calf. Being a large woman does not mean you can't look fantastic. You go girl!!

NO gypsy, skirts to your ankles, nothing that is so tight that your showing all your bumps and stuff in.
I work for a plus size fashion designer and here's a few suggestions....
1. Go spend good $$ on a skirt--don't shop for cheap as that is what you will end up with, try Macy's, Dillard's, etc...
2. A line skirts are very flattering if they are at the proper length which is ending above your calf if you do this and wear a shoe with a heel will also make your legs look longer
3. Neutral colors are flattering and are wonderful wardrobe basics to have ie. black, navy, kakhi

An A-line skirt is pretty nice. Or better yet a pencil skirt. I mean they both hug you but they outline your figure. Make sure they go at least two inches below the knee.
Wear a girdle beacuse it hugs you in and hid the dimples once the skirt goes on.

A line skirts work well for full figures. Also a long straight skirt that's not tight, like mid length.

pencil skirts at just at or below knee-length. I think the key to looking slimmer is to add a jacket or top that hits just above the largest part of your hip, in a rich or bright color, keeping the skirt a darker color.
Feeling beautiful is being beautiful.
