were they in college or trade school or something? most states continue the cs until the child is done.
also, maybe there was a cost of living increase (every 2-4 years, depending upon the state) manditory that he was not aware of.
these are questions for the caseworker. but i'll tell you this, you can get the money, but it'll take a while and lots of work.
the states dont work like dept stores and just cut ya a check. they are hard to get money back from.

5 years ago (2002), one of his children was still a minor. He kept accruing debt after that $11,000 back order. That is why they took more than teh $11,000.
Also, depending on teh state and order, he could be ordered to pay it through college.
If the child support goes through teh state office, you can contact them and have any over payments corrected. Otherwise you will need to get a lawyer.
Below are some links to child support information you can look at if you cant find teh actual order

Your husband most definitely should get his money back, in all fairness. However, the CSED does not take kindly to being told that they have made a mistake. Be careful how you request it. Try to do it in writing, I'm sure they have a form around their office somewhere that allows you to request a recalculation of the money that has been paid. They might even find that you have not paid enough, so will request even more from you. It's okay if you make tons of cash, but for most working class individuals...it is tough to make the bills, usually because you are paying child support. If you do happen to get the money back, please keep us posted. It brings a smile to someone like you and me when we hear of GOOD stories, like someone having money refunded from the csed.

It sounds as though he did no longer pay a lot whilst they have been youthful, on the grounds that he owed 11,000. How did he get to be 11,000 in the back of? Why else might he be paying newborn help to person toddlers? He ought to have owed it from whilst they have been youthful... they are his youngsters, so what if he overpaid slightly? Blood is thicker than water female chum. they are going to consistently be his youngsters, even whilst they are adults themselves.
