Sounjds like a really good price - maybe too good to be true. Make sure you get it checked out by your regular mechanic first. This wouldn't be a problem for an honest dealer.

Pontiac is a really good car...I have a 92 bonneville that got T-Boned and rear endend in the same accident and still drove perfectly fine after it...I trust pontiac alot but a sunfire? I havent really heard anything 'good' about them...but hey! maybe the newer ones are better! But if you want to find the exact price on it...go to www.kbb.com...and check the price...also find out why they are selling it too...its not that old and really low miles...and bring it to a shop right a way just to make sure

It mostly depends on what kind of car you are getting. Pontiac is an American car, so it might not be as great as a European like an Audi, but since you are paying $2500 for a 50,000 mile, thats a pretty good deal counting on that buying new parts will be cheap since it is American when it starts breaking down by little.

Somethings not right. That price is way too low. A Pontiac is a reasonable good car and that one does have low miles. Have a mechanic check it out first.

2000 Pontiac what? Bonneville? Grand Prix? Grand Am? Sunbird? $2,500.00 wouldn't be a good deal on a Sunbird but would be OK for a Grand Am or a Grand Prix and would be REALLY good on a Bonneville. As for reliability, I have a 2001 Grand Prix that has only had one major problem -- 4th gear went out and I had to get the transmission rebuilt, and THAT wasn't cheap ($2,500.00).

I would buy it especially if it is the 3.8 liter version of the grand am or grand prix if it is a 3.4 liter grand am or grand prix things to check for are coolant leaks from the intake power steering pumps also like to act up on the 3.4. the 3.8 on the other hand is an excellent engine that usually has very little problems and parts are cheap, if it isn't a Riviera 3.8, and available because the 3.8 has been used in a lot of gm cars. i drive a 3.8 riviera and i've had it 2 years and bought with 88,000 miles on it and have only done regular oil changes and replaced brakes and tires no major engine work or trans work done.

that sounds like a great deal. i bought my g/f a 01 Cavalier (a sunfire with a chey emblem) in 04'. the car had 55,000 miles when we bought it, and it has not been in the shop once. we paid 3,600 though, so yeah, i would say thats a great deal! but first i'd have a mechanic i trusted look at it, just to make sure it really is a great deal.
good luck.

I would be suspicious- the price is low according to Edmunds and Kelly's Blue Book values.
Have you test drove it? Got a CarFax on it? Are those the real miles? Research the Vin # and be sure.
