I have a 94 pathfinder i got for $1000 three years ago and it is the ugliest thing you have ever wanted to see but it does run beautifully and it is also 4 wheel drive and that comes in handy in the snow.

I could have both: one that is beautiful but runs badly, just inside the city, and another one that is ugly but runs very ok for the countryside...

Runs good...you can always fix it up. It's easier to fix up an ugly car.
It's harder to figure out what is wrong with a car.

i'd choose an ugly car any day!! because its less costly to paint a car then to have to buy an engine, brakes, starter, transmission, etc! :)
