No. They work in teeny tiny sweat shops on teeny tiny sewing machines. If one falls down and dies, they extract the rest of its silk and toss its lifeless body into a bug zapper.

It's sad.

I don't think so as there is a lot of polyester working with them now, they would have gone on strike I am sure if they could have done. They could have had crickets on the picket line but the crabs would have been scabs.
