I had a miscarriage about 3 weeks ago. I was then about 6 weeks pregnant. This information is confirmed by the doctor. Afterwards, my bloodtest showed a number 156 and the second bloodtest it went down to 112. He did a sonogram too. It showed that my uterus was clean. So here's the thing. The unbearable abdominal pain was about 3 weeks ago right (that's when I miscarried). Afterward, I felt so bloated then and my stomach felt uncomfortable and it hurt when pressed. Doctor said, "it's ok, nothing is in there. No baby." Then a week after I had the miscarriage, my stomach hurt again really bad. It went away after say like 3 hours. Now after 3 weeks, I went back to the doctor and did a pregnancy test...showed I was still pregnant. I see my stomach grow bigger too. I don't get spotting or bleeding or pain anymore. Just slight discomfort when I press my stomach. I am afraid that I am still pregnant. Do you think so too?????

If your doctor says no, then I would go along with him BUT you can always get a second opinion. I do know that the horomones in your urine from being pregnant can say in your urine for several weeks after your miscarriage. I know this because a very good friend of mine, just had a miscarriage. The doctors kept telling her nothing was showing on the ultrasound and the checked her horomone level and it was to be above 200 something for it to detect a baby or something. If you are that concerned.. get a second opinion, babe. :) I'm sorry about your loss...

Okay so the latest buzz is getting healthy before you get pregnant and seeking out a doctor or midwife for advice before doing the same. This is something that I, along with countless others, have been preaching for years. So the Centers for Disease Control have a really new series of recommendations for that preconception care. While commenting on these recommendations, our friends over at Blogging Baby commented about how women make their first prenatal appoinments for 10-12 weeks into the pregnancy. But that's the problem, women aren't choosing to make appointments that late into pregnancy.

Most women are upset, worried and downright mad that they are being put off that late into pregnancy. Most practitioners routinely schedule prenatal visits for after they have missed at least their second period. Some offices will have a visit where you come in and speak to the nurse practitioner or leave a medical history with the medical assistant, which is better than nothing.

But the truth is that the risk of most birth defects is greatest during this first trimester. Getting the information into the hands of women before they become pregnant is the best way we have to reduce these birth defects. Many women now know about the importance of folic acid, but I'd still hazard that most don't really get that they need it before they know they're pregnant too. I hear it in my classes often, "Oh I'm not trying to get pregnant so I don't need folic acid." I try to instill that the recommendation is that any woman of childbearing age needs her folic acid.

So my point? Get to your practitioner before you start trying to have a baby. You'll be really glad you did.

My mom had a miscarriage when she was pregnant with me. She had severe cramping and bleeding. She went to the hospital and told her she miscarried and scheduled her for a D&C. Lucky for me, some one examined her again right before she went in for the procedure, because they found me. They think she was pregnant with twins and only lost one of us. My mom says I have been ornery from day one and evicted the other one (possible LOL). So maybe you had the same thing happen to you and you are still pregnant. Maybe try going to a different doctor for a second opinion.

Most probaby you may be pregnant. Maybe another sonogram may help you determaine weather your pregnant agian or not. Even so, there is still a slight chance that you may actually be pregnant.
This is because the body needs time to heal after a miscarradge. Your body starts repairing itself.
Watch your period. If you miss even just one, make sure to go see your doctor

I hope it works out

1. Your uterus could be shrinking causing pain.

2. you could have miscarried a twin. My friend suffered a miscarriage at 3 months. But the twin survived.

If the doctors said no, then it isn't likely you are. Some hormones might still remain in your body so that might be attributing to your aches. It could also be an infection, so you should question your doctor about that. Good luck!

Mabey you were pregnant with twins and only lost one. You should ask the doctor to do a sonogram.

I've heard of this before.....and actually it happened to my friend also. Your body still thinks it's pregnant and therefore you will feel like you are...it's called a "ghost pregnancy". I don't know how long it will actually last....it only lasted a couple of weeks to a month for my friend. good luck!!!

probably..you could have been having twins..and the body saying you couldn't support 2 babies ..aborted one..there are many reasons as to why this could happen..but if you wanted to be pregnant then hopefully everything is as you wished..i wish you the best..
