Will the scar tissue resulting from a surgery that is under the skin ever go away on its own?

I have a scar from when I had a minor surgical procedure. I know that I can use cocoa butter, vitamin e and merderma to treat the scar that is on top of the skin, but I have hard scar tissue that is under the skin. Will that ever go away on its own? Are there any home remedies to get rid of the scar tissue that is below the skin? Thanks.

I don't believe so, what you are feeling is where the two pieces are overlapped, they don't butt them together,they overlap them for strength.
