The only person with a chance is Dirk, and that is just because of the different things he can do and the fact that he can get his shot off at anytime, and he can rebound and pass the ball very well. Kobe is the best guard by far, Lebron has several years and championships to get before he can be mentioned in the same sentence, and Dwayne Wade is a slasher only, he can't shoot. But I think if you look at who can change the game the most it has to be Dirk with his size and shooting ability, however it is not really a fair comparison with a 7 footer and a guy who is 6'5"

Tim Duncan hasn't gone anywhere as far as i know. with shaq on the decline, there is not another post in the league who receives as much attention from the opposing teams defense. He's a tremendous passer and rebounder. Whats overlooked is that he may be the best defensive big man in the NBA for the better part of a decade both as a man defender and as an overall presence. While Kobe is coming into his own in terms of offensive efficiency he is no longer the stopper he once was, although still good.

let me ask u a question wat makes kobe so great. look at wat he has done i say kobe is a ******* average sg/sf. hand down i dont get y kobe is so great apart from 81 points he rode oneal to 3 ring wat has kobe dotn for kobe in the nba. wat the difference with kobe carter tmac and pp. not a lot to be honest the all average between 22-24 points per game they all get about 4-6.5 rebound and all get around so y is kobe the next mj? i need to hear fact and hot friction. kobe won 3 win and neither guys won any. well but any off those 3 guy on the laker and i promise they would won more than 3 rings. kobe is more know in the league than carter tmac and pp. it all about marketing. thier nothing kobe can do that those 3 cant. and i am sure their r other player who play sg/sf that r better than kobe but not loved cause they havent won any rings.

kobe hasnt prove **** to be more than average second kobe just started to take big shot 3 season ago b4 that horry and fisher were teh laker big shot players not kobe. i have tryed and try to find a reson kobe is special and i just cant seem to find it he a average sg/sf. name one think he can do that pp carter lbj melo and even wade cant do. to be honest i dotn think their a player over rigth the best in the nba like when mj was in two u could say mj was th ebest sg/sf karl was the best pf stockton was the best pg and so on now u just cant name a player to that postion cause they all r all alike. no player game is so different that u can name an play at eh best with out a person make a case andporving thier point. look at it tis way the best pg in the league is nahs kidd d william or c paul. after all his said and done it would be between kidd and nash. they have dont think to separate them from the pack kobe hasnt.

the question should be who isnt better than kobe. i can take anybody in the league and shoot the ball about 80 or 90 times a game and score between 20 and 30. theres always haters because kobe is GARBAGE. if kobe is so good where is his title without shaq. lets see shaq leaves LA and goes to miami and wins a title...so who was the one running the show in LA.

Dwyane Wade is better & there is other players also. But I'm going to talk about Wade or Kobe. Wade is faster & more accurate(2007 skills challenge Wade beat Kobe), Wade is better at penetrating(he draws more fouls & he makes more points in the paint then Kobe, and during a enterview Kobe has admitted that Wade penetrates more then he does but Kobe shoots more 3's), he's stronger then Kobe(haven't you seen the built on Wade, Kobe's only taller), Wade makes as many outside shots as Kobe(except for 3 pointers), Wade is better 4th quarter player(2006 finals game 3, Heat being down 13 points with 6 minutes left, Wade single handley bring the Heat back & wins the game), Wade & Kobe basically had the same team & Wade took them further then Kobe did(Wade had Grant, Odom, Butler, & they made it to the 2nd round of the playoffs, when Kobe had Grant, Odom, Butler they missed the playoffs), Wade played better against the Pistons defense then Kobe did(04 finals the Pistons kept Kobe below his point average & had him shooting a 38 FG% with an high turnover % as well, then the 05 east finals Wade averaged 26.7 ppg & shot a 61.1 FG%, he was killing the Pistons, during the series The Pistons said Wade was the hardest player they ever tried to contain), during this years matchups, Wade's been killing Kobe & Kobe's been guarding Wade the entire time(X-Mas, Wade had 40 points & 11 assist to Kobe's 16 points, & on MLK Day, Wade had 35 points to Kobe 25 points), & Wade's seaon stats are better then Kobe's & Wade's career playoff stats are better then Kobe's(check their profiles). I hope you've read this & become a realest and accept that Wade is better then Kobe. Kobe is good but as I discribed, Wade beats him in every aspect. The only thing Kobe has over Wade is height & 3 point shooting, and I'm sorry, it takes more then height & 3 point shooting to be better then someone. Just look at MJ & Reggie Miller. Reggie is taller & have a better 3 But MJ is still better.

KOBE is the best! D. Wade will be gone from the league in 3 years time due to his injuries!

Kobe is such a great player, but I doubt we can really answer your question. If you're not currently on top (winning a championship), then people consider you not the best at your trade. He's deadly in crunch time and intelligent all the time. He likes challenges, but feeds off of destroying a team's hope. You have to respect and adore that quality in a competitor. But he's not winning championships, and until he's able to raise up his young teammates, he won't be considered the best.

first of all there isnt anybody better than Kobe... Lekyam first of if anybodys moves are redundant its Wade... he does the same thing every game... why wouldn't you do the same moves if everybody falls for it... Think about Wade always had help and a supporting cast with him... once shaq left Kobe had to carry the Lakers by himself... he had no big men and he doesnt have much shooters out there but he manages to rack up assists... all you Kobe haters shut your mouth

I thought Lebron James could mature into a better player than Kobe Bryant, but obviously he's still a long way from that.

Wade is a great player, and I most admire his passion, but to insenuate that his overall skills are on par with Kobe Bryant's is practically basketball heracy. He struggles mightily with long range and doesn't show the same "take over" instincts that Kobe has.

Statistically, they're relatively even in the scoring department...

Name/Team/Games/Minutes/PPG/FGA-FGM/FG%/3PM-3PA/FTM-FTA/FT%

Dwyane Wade , MIA 46 39.0 28.8 9.7-19.6 .494 .5-1.7 .269 9.0-11.0 .816

Kobe Bryant , LAL 51 39.6 28.7 9.5-20.4 .465 1.7-4.8 .354 8.1-9.3 .868

When you take a look at other stats, Wade seems to have the edge with more assists, steals and most notably, blocks. However, Wade gets more turnovers in less minutes and less rebounds per game.

Rebounds/Assists/Steals/Blocks/Turnovers

Kobe - 5.6/5.5/1.4/0.4/3.58

Wade - 4.8/7.8/2.1/1.3/4.20

Until he went down, Wade was scoring more points, but the most telling number is his three point numbers and his FT%. 816 is great, but it's no 868, and Kobe has played 5 more games.

But it's the intangibles that count the most. And Kobe has the leadership, passion, determination and everything that makes a great player, definately comparable to Michael Jordan.

Tim Duncan. Kobe may have the same number of ring with the Big Fundamental. But "leading" a team to 3 NBA championship is different as to "helping" (Shaq).
