You should definitely stay overnight at someone else's house since the fumes can make you sick. You're pregnant and most likely sensitive to smells, so the odor of the sprays will most likely keep you away! Usually, it kills most of the pests instantly, but some remain, which is why several sprayings are necessary. I would suggest sprinkling Boric acid (cheap and effective) in holes, cracks, and corners where you usually find them and that will help. However, once your baby is born, you're going to have to be extra cautious about using any type of poisons around the house! Good luck!

The most effective pest controls don't kill them immediately, it allows them to take the poison back to the queen and kill her. Then the colony dies.
If there is no queen for your pests, it's likely that it's still a slow poison.
