"Christopher" is a name deriving from the ancient Greek "Χριστοφερως," which transliterated is "Hristoferos." The translation "Christ-bearer" isn't really acurate. A better one is "Bearer of the anointed one." "Χριστοφερως" has two parts: "Χριστος" ("Hristos") and "Φερω" ("Fero"). "Χριστος" literally means "Annointed one," which is usually interpreted as Christ, and "Φερω" means "to carry."

I hope this clarifies everything for you.

Many names translate, like Pablo is Paul in English, but Christopher is already Greek. It means "Christ-bearer" according to wikipedia (see ref below.)

Written in Greek it's - Άγιος Χριστόφορος (actually that's St. Christopher.)

The correct spelling for Christopher in Greek is 'Xristos'

When you pronounce this name in Greek, it will look and sound like this: 'Hristos', with the beginning of the name sounding like the letter H.
I hope this has been helpful.
