I think a lot of people feel this way and there's a bit of a conspiracy to keep it on air. Every time i've seen interviews with cast members they're always banging on about how great the story lines are. They win all these 'big' awards, I reckon it's all fixed, in the hope that people won't notice just how bad it's got.

I used to watch them all the time but got bored with long, tedious, over the top and depressing story lines.
I gave them up years ago!

I haven't watched any of the soaps for years either.
Mainly because they are really depressing, the acting is awful & nowadays there is no suspense.
Every storyline is discussed in half a dozen magazines weeks in advance.

There is never much fun or good news in eastenders.....still watch though.

I think its crap, and a lot of the young actresses in it are soooo bigheaded, ie,dawn and carly
