Probably lots of reasons- They waited for so long to embalm her that the tissue had already begun to deteriorate. If they kept her body too cold, it would have caused cellular damage, which would make it decompose faster, and if she was too warm then the bacteria that cause decomposition were able to grow rapidly.
I don't mean to sound callous or anything, but a bodyflesh basically the same in all animals (including humans). If you treated a steak the way that her body has been treated, it would do the same thing probably.

The main reason is because after the first autopsy the body wasn't embalmed it was just refridgerated meaning that her blood was still in the body but not moving around to rejuvinate cells. As a result it basically sits like (I know this is gross) jello and since the body is not in motion the cells start to break down and die. If the body had been embalmed, the blood would have been removed and replaced with embalming fluid which would have helped to preserve (almost pickle) the body for a short time.

Same principle, that much adipose tissue (read as fat or blubber) breaks down and decomposes extremely fast.

Because with all the arguing about it, it did not get embalmed as soon as it should have. Embalming preserves it for longer so it is not a scary mess at the funeral.

because her body was not embalmed right away. they waited a week or so to do that, which gave the body time to begin decompostion.

beacuse that is what dead bodies do. Most people have funerals within a week.

I don't think they mean its rotting or anything but its getting just different colors here and there ...........maybe cause they embalmed her to soon or not soon enough.............not to sure why its changing color..
