Also this author or poet has to have written at least three books in which his or her life expewriences were demonstrated. As much info as possible is greatly appreciated.

I'm also puzzled by the question. When you say "Authors," do you mean fiction authors who have written non-fiction or any non-fiction authors?

Jean Kerr might qualify. She did humorous books about everyday life like Please Don't Eat the Daisies, How I Got To Be Perfect and Penny Candy. They weren't memoirs, more like essays on her every day life. She was also a playwrite and had a couple of award-winnning plays.

If you're requirement is not a memoir, I'm unsure what you're looking for. They only need to write one autobiography, so the three book requirement is out. If it's shorter than their life story, it's a memoir, and there's a bunch of good ones out there (Bill Bryson is my favorite). But if you insist on non-memoir, there's your obvious choice of poetry, but I don't read enough poetry to give you help there, though most poets rely on life experiences in some way when they write, so just search for American poets. Another option is someone writing personal essays into non-fiction anthologies. The big name in this field is David Sedaris. You'll laugh until you pee, and his stuff is intelligent and of literary quality. I'm 99% sure he has more than 3 books. Good luck finding more.

I don't understand the requirement that it not be a memoir. If someone writes about their life experiences, that IS a memoir.
