Problem w/ A drive disk?

I have a old A drive disk ,that has some files that i need off of it, But everytime i try to access it the comp tells me that it's not formatted. What can i do to get those files off of the a drive disk and onto a flash drive or CD

Old 3.5" disks can become corrupted after just a few years. The shelf life for that kind of magnetic media is maybe 5 years.

On the other hand, the floppy drive can also be the culprit. Check with a blank floppy (if you have one) to see if it gives you the same message. If you can read that one, your floppy with the data is corrupted. If you get the same message, your drive is probably kaput.

You can buy a new one (internal) for 15 bucks and an external (that goes through a USB connection) for 40 at Fry's or similar discount chain.

One more thing... even data on CD-ROMs can become corrupt. Stuff burned from a CD-burner has a shelf life of under 5 years, so if you want to keep that kind of media, consider making copies every few years (from masters if you can, or from the copies if you can't).

Well..take the floppy disk to one of your friends house and copy the files onto a Cd-r.. (Know What I Mean Jelly Bean).. make sure you replace the A drive with a new one only if it's damaged..

Not sure, but you should try accessing your data from another computer first to see if it's your floopy drive or something else?
It sounds like your floppy's are corrupted, but that's not necessarily the case as it could just be your floopy drive is malfunctioning, (in which case you'll need to replace it... they're cheap!).

Disc get dirty sparkling it. you will get a unvirsal disc cleanser. run some circumstances. If that would not artwork take the 360 and the disc to the save the position you obtain it and ask their help. some circumstances even new video games do not artwork.

If you format you will loose everything. Try this site not sure if there is anything there but it is a long list.
