She is disabled and entitled to social security. But, is having to fight the gov. for her benefits. She hasn't been able to work for 3 yrs. But, when she became disabled, she was working and going to school. She was trying her hardest to improve herself and her situation for her kids.

Would you help this woman, if you could?

I would definitely help her to manage her finances first of all. Most young people, disabled or not, fall short in this area because they have no experience. I would want to see her income and her written budget. If the money is insufficient we find help period. It must be out there. Yes, I would help financially if her money was not enough to pay all reasonable bills.

My sister had her lights cut off because her deadhead son was running the air-conditioner 24/7 while she struggled at a low paying job. He was 19 refusing to work. Nope, I would not help pay that bill. Sometimes lessons need learning.

So the circumstances hold the key. Many of us are struggling to pay bills and keep lights on. Budgetting is often neglected.

Sure if I could. Not just monetarily but more like help her get her paperwork to the necessary people for her benefits, drive her around. Be a support person for her.

Yes, without so much as one second's hesitation. Single mothers have a tough life in any case, even those without disabilities.

Sure - as long as she isnt driving around a nicer car than mine, eating better food than me, or wearing nicer clothes....then its obvious she doesnt need assistance.
