Is Piratology a real book they found underwater in a ship or is it a fictional children's book? I'm thinking it's made-up but I can't quite tell.

the storyline about it being an captain's journal is made up, but the whole reason they make those books is so kids can learn stuff about whatever it is... my cousin has the egyptology book and the wizardology book, and it has factual info in them (like actual egyptian pharaohs and stuff) but the basis is fiction.

You have a wonderful imagination! I'm afraid that any book that was underwater would be distroyed. However, some of the things in the book are fact and some is fiction.
