I think it's OK to bring it to her attention that you notice it, and mention that you hope it isn't catchy. A girl I worked with once had head lice so bad you could see them under the florescent lights. I reported her to human resources and when they tried to brush it off, I gently told them I would be going home, and that I couldn't afford lice with a house full. They sent her home.
