me and my husbund started trying for a baby the day i finished my period, its been 3 weeks, when would be a good time to take a pregnancy test?

Do you have regular periods? If you do and know when you should start you can take an early pregnancy test, I found First Response to be the best test, five days before your period should start. If you know when you ovulated it would be 9 days after that you can take a test. If it is negative wait a few days and take it again. Good luck!!!

If you do not chart or monitor your fertility in any way, and you think you may have conceived, you should wait 19 days (or longer) after having sex to test. Why 19?! Sperm can live approximately 5 days in the proper environment; if the sperm managed to live until you popped an egg, the actual conception could have taken place several days after the sex act that got the sperm there. To make sure you're not testing too early, assume the sperm had very long lives (5 days is considered a very long sperm life) and that conception occurred then. Then allow 14 days for the embryo to implant and develop enough hCG to show up on a pregnancy test (96% of pregnant women will test positive by then.)

You should take a test the day you would expect your period to come. They say some of the tests you can take up to 5 days before your missed period, but for me it didn't show up positive with either of my pregnancies until I was already due for my period.

Depends on the test. But I would say earliest i've taken a test and gotten a positive was 4 days before my period started. There are tests you can get online that are very sensitive. My friend got a positive a day sooner than me. If you do, use your first morning pee. Good Luck!

This Pregnancy tests can usually detect hCG 8-11 days after ovulation, thats a couple of days before your period is due.

If your period stops and you try for a baby you need to wait at least 21 days, if you dont recieve a period, you should wait about 1 more week then take the test! if you dont get your periond after 28 days after your last period you are probably pregnant.

The day that you miss your period would probably be most accurate. However, you might be able to go to your doctor and have a blood test done that can confirm pregnancy at this point!

you can take it now because it is possible that you got pregnant and they now have pregnancy tests that will tell 5 days after your missed period.

they have some preg test u can use to check the week before ur period is due check and see when ur period will be and if it is a week before i would go get a preg test but yeah it is possible to show if ur preg right now or not
