Pokemon Breeding?

Question

For any breeders who know what IVs are can probably answer this question. I want a good Pokemon (IV wise) that is genderless, but don't exactly know how to do this. For instance I want a Special Attack Magnetmite, but since Magnemites can't breed without dittos I don't know how to get a good Special attack IV. Do i have to breed a bunch of dittos and hope for one with good Special Attack IVs then breed with a magnemite until I get the one I want?

you're going to have to catch a lot, instead of relying on breeding. magnemite families have great special attack, and the half steel type helps against many other types, but ground moves are common, and can be learned by a vast majority of the monsters
